Hiking Poles / Trekking Poles for Backpackers I admit it – for years I thought that hiking / trekking poles / walking sticks were only for wimps, old people, and gibbles. (not politically correct) Real men/women did not need a walking stick let alone two of them.Well, I was wrong. (I think that makes in twice now in the last 5 years or so.)
